Context
Enable users to send and receive funds across multiple African countries through web and mobile channels. The platform orchestrated currencies, real-time exchange rates, local Mobile Money carriers and strict transactional auditability.
My role
Full-stack software developer at ISDG. Backend API design, implementation of transaction rules and Mobile Money gateway integrations. Collaboration on mobile interfaces and financial administration tools.
Decisions & approach

Secure each transfer through a strict transactional state machine (initiated, locked, validated, credited, audited).

Isolate payment carrier gateways behind an abstraction layer facilitating the addition of new countries.

Implement automated daily reconciliation to prevent cashflow discrepancies.
